György Cziffra · Besançon Recital in 1961

9.99

György Cziffra was nearly 40 when he gave this live recital on 16 September 1961 at the Théâtre municipal de Besançon. Most of the programme is the sort of repertoire the pianist favoured, except for Schumann’s Piano Sonata No 1 in F-sharp Minor, Op. 11, which he didn’t play often, and is the most substantial work here.
